ACE1 Children's rights22 juin 2016
The objective of these actions was presenting students with the rights which children have. Each class at school, from preparatory classes to the last classes of secondary school had classes about children rights. Teachers introduced the document of Convention on the Rights of the Child, students discussed each right separately and took part in activities which were supposed to rise their awareness of their own rights. After that each class chose one right and ilustrated it. Additionally, one student illustrated each right and produced a game made of tiles depicting children's rights. We also found about a worldwide action known as Shoes for Africa, which is expanding childcare. Since all the children have rights to be healthy and protect their health we collected sport shoes which we are going to send to children in Africa. During our stay in Romania we visited a primary school in Cacica which organizes Polish classes for children of Polish immigrants. Hence, trying to suport Polish families living there we also colleceted stationery and Polish booksfor children, maps, atlases, and other resources which are likely to help these children and their parents sustain their Polish identity.
