AH1 Vision of the human body and antropomorhic forms

This is aclip which was the springboard for the discussion about vision of the human obdy in art.

vvTo study evolution of human beauty and ways of presenting it in art since the ancient times, we chose one sculpture and one painting which represented each of historical eras, from Ancient Egypt to abstractionism.  We started from watching the film showing how the ideals of beauty depended on political and religious situations and changed accordingly.  Students, together with their Art teacher chose pieces of art most typical for the times and showing body in a characteristic for this age way. Next they made presentations describing the pieces of art which they liked most and then they shared their findings with the others. After the presentations they were really surprised having seen how many factors, namely: politics, knowledge, religion, power influenced the art. We compiled all the descriptions in one presentation.
