Integration in this case meant doing activity together with disabled students and students from partner schools. Since it was some days before Christmas, we decided to record Silent Night, which was sung by all the students in their mother tongues. We chose this carol for its popularity, international character, its uniqueness and being part of European cultural inheritance. All the student s were given handouts with the lyrics in all the languages – Italian, Portuguese, Polish and English and they did their best trying to sing in languages different from the native ones. We had some accompanists – students and teachers played the keyboard, guitar, violin and the clarinet. The recording is not perfect, as the song is quite demanding vocally, but the sense of integrity and excitement of being able to sing in another language were noticeable.
