The students were given documents presenting works of the Roman architect Vitruvius and the ones of Leonardo da Vinci. Then they were asked to study the two pieces of work and compare them with precision.

Then, the students measured some parts of their body and made different calculations to see if their body was harmonious, with reference to a study by Leonardo da Vinci saying that a perfect body should follow some proportions based on precise mathematical relations.

Aims of the activity:

-study the proportions of the human body, analyze measures and establish the ratio between different parts of the body.

-improve mathematical skills.
